A distant port quarter view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at moorings off Bighi Bay in Grand Harbour, Malta.
A distant port quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at moorings off Bighi Bay in Grand Harbour, Malta. She has mooring lines out ahead and astern and an accommodation ladder is rigged to her main deck aft. A number of dghaisas are gathered near her ladder. The photographer is looking east from the Saluting Battery in Valletta showing the Italian passenger/cargo ship Verdi (1928) berthed stern-on to the Lascaris Wharf and viewed from abaft her starboard side. Fort Ricasoli and the east breakwater at the harbour entrance are in the left background.
