A slightly distant port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at moorings off Bighi Bay in Grand Harbour, Malta. She has mooring lines out ahead and astern and an accommodation ladder is rigged to her main deck aft. A number of dghaisas are gathered near her ladder. The photographer is looking east-south-east through an arch in the Upper Barrakka in Valletta and in the foreground is the Italian passenger/cargo ship Verdi (1928) berthed stern-on to the Lascaris Wharf and viewed from abaft her starboard side. Fort Ricasoli is in the left background. A vertical format negative.
