The Mediterranean from the 'Ravenspoint'
A sketch from the 'Ravenspoint'. Everett has used form and colour to demonstrate the relationship between sea and sky. The sketch concentrates on the light effects of reflections on the surface of the calm water from the sky. Everett sailed in the steamer, 'Ravenspoint', from Liverpool to the Mediterranean between January and February 1935. The painting is inscribed 'Med Ravenspoint' verso.
