A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Oronsay (1925) at anchor in an unknown location. Her starboard anchor is deployed and her port anchor is suspended just above the water. She has an accommodation ladder rigged aft with a boat adjacent to it. Lifeboats 8 and 16 have been launched and seaboat number 4 has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. The Blue Peter flag is flying from the bridge signal halyard. Negatives numbers P84531 to P84533 were taken on the same occasion.
