A starboard bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. She has both anchors deployed and her forecastle and forward superstructure rails are lined with crew and passengers watching the regatta. One of her manual lifeboats is alongside the ship approaching the accommodation ladder which is rigged aft. The boat is manned by passengers under the supervision of two crew members. The top of the ship's foremast is just out of the picture. The negative is slightly out of focus.
