A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. She has both anchors deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged aft with two of her boats by it. Boats 7A and 9A have been swung out and lowered to boat deck level, She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm and the Norwegian flag from her foremast head. There are patches of snow on the mountains in the background. The negative is slightly out of focus.
