A slightly distant port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. She has both anchors deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged aft with five of her boats alongside it. Boats 8A and 10A have been swung out and lowered to boat deck level, She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm and the Norwegian flag from her foremast head. The photographer is in an elevated position ashore looking at the ship through a gap in the trees. The negative is slightly out of focus.
