A port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor in Vigo Bay, Spain. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged aft with a boat alongside it. Her foremast derrick is swung out to port and lifeboat number 18 has been launched. A coal hulk is in the left background. The negative is rather dense.
