A slightly distant port quarter view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. She has both anchors deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged aft with one of her boats and a number of local boats alongside it. Lifeboat 18 has been launched and her foremast derrick is swung round to port. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm and the Norwegian flag from her foremast head. The photographer is in an elevated position ashore looking at the ship over trees.
