A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) alongside the Eastern Jetty at Immingham, Lincolnshire. She is preparing for a cruise to the Norwegian fjords and is flying the Norwegian flag at her foremast head. She is also flying the Blue Peter flag from the port yardarm. A brow is rigged to a forward shell door and her foremast derrick is swung out to load passengers' baggage into the forward hold. A cargo net has been rigged from her bulwark to the jetty to catch any baggage that may fall from the slings. Electric baggage carts and stevedores are on the jetty.
