The photographer is on the port side of the poop looking forward showing the accommodation ladder rigged and motor lifeboat number 16 being lowered in her falls. The Kviknes Hotel, built in 1877, is on the foreshore and there are patches of snow on the mountains in the background. A vertical format negative.
