A slightly distant port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) at anchor in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. She has an accommodation ladder rigged aft and is flying the Blue Peter from the foremast. Lifeboat 16 has been launched and seaboat 4 is swung out and lowered to boat deck level. The photographer is on shore and in the foreground is a wooden hut on a stone wall close to a wooden landing stage which has two rowing boats alongside it. There are patches of snow of the mountains in the background.
