On board the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) while at anchor in Sognefjord, off Balholm, Norway. The photographer is on the port side of the boat deck looking aft and to port showing a young man in a suit and tie sitting in a folding deck chair by the ship's rail. Lifeboat number 10 has been launched but number 12 is still under its davits. A deck tennis net has been rigged on the left. The mountains in the background are partially obscured by low cloud.
