A port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) alongside a quay in a commercial port in Norway. She has an accommodation ladder rigged aft and is flying the Norwegian flag at her foremast and the Blue Peter from her starboard yardarm. A number of small boats of various types are at anchor or moored in the foreground with a stone hard between them and the Orontes. Two steamships are in the background on the left and one of them has the funnel markings of Det Bergenske Dampskibsselskab. Negative number P84623 was taken on the same occasion.
