A port bow view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) moored in Grand Harbour, Malta. both os her anchors are suspended below the hawse and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door aft with one of her boats alongside it. Dghaisas, a motor lighter and other small boats are alongside or near the ship. She is flying flag N from the bridge signal halyard. The photographer is in an elevated position in Valletta looking east-by-north showing St. Elmo bridge and breakwater in the left background and Ricasoli breakwater in the right background.
