A starboard near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) alongside the Eastern Jetty at Immingham, Lincolnshire.

A starboard near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) alongside the Eastern Jetty at Immingham, Lincolnshire. Her bow is just out of the picture. A number of the crew and passengers are lining the rails on the foredeck and the front of the superstructure. She is not displaying any flags. The photographer is on shore looking north and the jetty is obscuring nearly all the hull of the Orontes. The negative has been retouched to give the impression that she has many lights on and it has been captioned "RMS. "Orontes" at night."
