A bow view, taken from very fine off the starboard bow, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor off Calvi, Corsica. Her port anchor is deployed and one of her manual lifeboats with four men aboard is close to her starboard bow. Her starboard boat boom is rigged and number 2 lifeboat on her port side has been swung out ready for lowering. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on the foremast. Some local boats are close to her starboard side. Mountains are in the background. A vertical format negative.
