Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged aft with a boat alongside it. One of her boats is heading for the shore. The photographer is on the beach in Rapallo harbour looking south-by-east and in the foreground is the Castello sul Mare (Castle-on-the-Sea), which was erected in 1551. Three small boys are on the beach near the water's edge. A vertical format negative.
