A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor off Balholm in Sognefjord, Norway. Her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged aft. Seaboat 4 and lifeboat number 18 have been launched and lifeboats 10 and 10A have been swung out and lowered to the promenade deck and boat deck levels respectively. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm and the Norwegian flag from the top of her foremast. A few local boats are gathered near her stern. The photographer is on shore looking through a gap in the trees.
