Passengers gathered on the boat deck abaft the forefunnel on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929). The photographer is looking forward and slightly to starboard from the port side of the boat deck abreast the after funnel showing three members of the ship's crew supervising some form of game. A man in the left foreground is holding a cord at waist height across the deck and behind it are ladies sat at two tables with onlookers behind them and at the side. The Marine Photo Service documentation says this is "Neptune ceremony". The forefunnel and foremast are in the background. A vertical format negative.
