The Norwegian flag is flying from the top of the foremast. There are patches of snow on the mountains in the background. The negative is captioned "Home sweet home". Although the location has not been given it is likely to be off Balholm in Sognefjord, which is where the Orient Line cruise ships regularly ran boat races involving the passengers.
