Looking ahead over the starboard aft rail of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) while under way in a Norwegian fjord. The aft motor lifeboat has been swung out and the accommodation ladder is rigged ready for lowering. Mountains are fringing the water ahead of the ship and on a promontory is a settelment which includes a commercial building with a tall chimney.
