A starboard broadside view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at moorings off La Spezia, Italy. She has an accommodation ladder rigged aft and one of her boats is alongside it. Lifeboat 17 has been launched. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm and the Italian flag from the top of her foremast. A 2-funnelled passenger ship is in the right background. The negative is slightly out of focus.
