A starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor off Calvi, Corsica. She has her starboard anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door aft of amidships with one of her boats alongside it. Another of her boats is standing off the stern. She is flying the French flag from the top of her foremast and lifeboat 17 has been launched.
