A slightly distant port broadside view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor off a French Mediterranean port. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged aft. Beyond her and also seen from off the port broadside is the Blue Star Line cruise ship Arandora Star (1927). She is painted white and still retains her mainmast. On the left is the stern of a French Navy Arras class patrol vessel. On the right is the French Navy destroyer Bordelais (1928) with hull number 112.
