A slightly distant starboard quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor off Capri, Italy. She has her port anchor deployed and accommodation ladders are rigged to the main deck aft and a shell door aft of amidships. Lifeboat number 17 has been launched and a gaff is fitted to the ship's mainmast. The photographer is to seaward of the ship and the north-east corner of the island of Capri is in the background.
