A distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor off Capri, Italy. She has her port anchor deployed and accommodation ladders are rigged to the main deck aft and a shell door aft of amidships. Lifeboat number 17 has been launched and a gaff is fitted to the ship's mainmast. Three of the ship's boats are shuttling between the ship and the shore. The photographer is overlooking the harbour from the Capri funicular railway. A vertical format negative.
