A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor in an unknown location. Her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to the main deck aft. Lifeboat 18 has been launched. A few of the crew are working over the side amidships on three boards. The ship is flying the signal flag N fron the bridge signal halyard. The horizon is not quite level.
