A slightly distant port bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor in an unknown location. She has her starboard anchor deployed and is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm of her foremast. The photographer is in one of the ship's motor lifeboats heading away from the ship and one of the boat's crew is standing on the transom looking back at the ship. The negative is slightly out of focus. A vertical format negative.
