A slightly distant port broadside view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor in Ulvikfjord off Ulvik, Norway.
A slightly distant port broadside view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor in Ulvikfjord off Ulvik, Norway. She has her starboard anchor deployed and two accommodation ladders are rigged aft, one to the main deck and one to a shell door and both have boats alongside them. Lifeboat number 6 has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. The Blue Peter is flying from the port yardarm on the foremast and the Norwegian flag is at the masthead. The photographer is looking from the shore showing one of the ship's motor lifeboats alongside a landing stage on the right. There are patches of snow on the mountains in the background.
