A distant starboard side view, taken from high above and abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Otranto (1925) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. She has both anchors deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to her main deck aft with a boat alongside it. Lifeboats 15 and 16 have been launched and lifeboats 13 and 13A and seaboat 3 have been swung out and lowered to upper promenade and boat deck levels. The photographer is high up on shore looking across the fjord and there are patches of snow on the mountains in the background. The negative is very slightly out of focus. A vertical format negative.
