A distant starboard quarter view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia.

A distant starboard quarter view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her main deck aft. The photographer is looking south-east from inside the harbour showing one of the ship's motor lifeboats approaching a stone pier on which a large number of people are standing, presumably waiting for a boat to return them to the ship. The Fort St. Ivan and the Porporela (south) breakwater are on the right of the picture and the Kase breakwater is on the left.
