A starboard near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Otranto (1925) at anchor in Gibraltar Bay

A starboard near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Otranto (1925) at anchor in Gibraltar Bay. She has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to her main deck aft. A number of boats are alongside her, including a small steamer that may be a War Department tender. Seaboat number 3 has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. The harbour coaling wharf is in the background and the Rock of Gibraltar forms the backdrop.
