A starboard bow view of one of the motor lifeboats heading towards the shore from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Ranchi (1925) anchored in a Norwegian fjord. The boat has a crew of three and is laden with passengers. The ship, seen from off her starboard broadside, is in the background but, because of the depth of field of the camera lens, is not in focus.
