Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door and the promenade deck amidships. A lighter is alongside her stern. One of the ship's boats is heading towards the shore. The Foro Vittorio Emanuele is in the right background and a 3-masted barquentine is at anchor on the left.
