A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Cunard Line cruise ship Samaria (1921) at anchor in an unknown location. She has her starboard anchor deployed and her port anchor is suspended just above the water. An accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships and local boats are near it. Lifeboats 2 and 16 have been launched. The bow of a boat on the extreme right of the negative has the name St. Vincent on it.
