A temporary swimming pool erected on board the Cunard Line cruise ship Samaria (1921) while under way at sea. The timber and canvas structure has been rigged on the starboard side of the forecastle deck immediately ahead of the superstructure. The photographer is looking down and to starboard from the centreline of the lower bridge deck showing a few of the passengers making use of the pool while others look on. Negative number P84910 was taken on the same occasion.
