A starboard side view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Italian cargo liner Sistiana (1924) at moorings in Messina harbour, Sicily. She has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged amidships with a cargo lighter and two small boats alongside it. A large two-hold lighter is by her stern. The ship has the funnel colours of Navigazione Libera-Triestina S.A. and her name is painted on the hull. The Wilson Line cargo ship Cavallo (1922) is in the background.
