A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Shaw, Savill & Albion Company passenger liner Southern Cross (1955) at anchor in an unknown Spanish location. Her starboard anchor is deployed and a motor boat is alongside an open shell door amidships. A sailing dinghy with the number 7 on her mainsail is near the stern of the ship and a tug is further away. A passenger motor launch flying a Spanish ensign is heading away from the ship in the foreground. In the right background is a breakwater with a large crane sited at the end of it, presumably during extension works. Low lying land is in the left background. Negatives numbers P84931, P84932, P84935 and P84938-P84940 were taken on the same occasion.
