A slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the Shaw, Savill & Albion Company passenger liner Southern Cross (1955) at anchor in an unknown location. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has two accommodation ladders rigged amidships. A few small boats can be seen and a sailing dinghy is on the extreme left. A heavily wooded coast with a large number of substantial buildings scattered along the coast and amongst the trees is in the background. Negatives numbers P84933, P84934, P84936 and P84937 were taken on the same occasion.
