A starboard broadside view of the Norwegian cruise ship Stella Polaris (1927) at anchor in Isfjord, off Aandalsnes, Norway. Her port anchor is deployed and lifeboat number 9 has been launched. A boat is alongside amidships. She was built especially for cruising in Norwegian waters, completing over 70 cruises between 1927 and 1939. Low cloud is obscuring the mountains in the background. The negative is captioned "Naes" which is the name frequently given to Aandalsnes by cruise operators.
