A port near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathnaver (1931) at anchor in Gibraltar Bay. Her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door aft. Her lifeboat number 18 has been launched and her motor tender has been launched over the port side using the foremast port derrick which is still swung out. A hilly coast is in the background. The negative is incorrectly captioned "SS Strathaird".
