A starboard quarter view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) at anchor off Gibraltar.

A starboard quarter view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) at anchor off Gibraltar. Her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door aft. Her lifeboat number 17 has been launched. Her foremast derrick is swung out to port and she is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on her foremast. Just under way in the left background and seen from well abaft her starboard beam is one of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ships of the Ranpura class (1925), possibly the Rawalpindi (1925). The coaling wharf on the Western Arm is on the extreme left of the picture.
