A port quarter view, taken from very fine off the stern, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) alongside a wharf at Ceuta, Morocco. She is berthed port side to the wharf and has two accommodation ladders rigged. The top of her mainmast is out of the picture. The photographer is looking along the wharf showing a large number of motor cars and motor coaches parked on the wharf with crowds of people near them. Local traders with stocks of souvenirs are in the foreground hoping to do brisk business with the ship's passengers. A building is being erected on the wharf and merchant ships are berthed ahead of the Strathaird. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P84956, P84958, P84959 and P84986 were taken on the same occasion.
