A distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) under way at sea. The photographer is on board another cruise ship looking to starboard and aft from just ahead of the forward funnel showing wireless insulators, boiler room fan motor and ventilator, part of the funnel and two of the ship's boats in their davits. The ships are steaming on parallel courses. The photographer's ship is definitely not the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) because the funnel fittings are wrong. A vertical format negative.
