The photographer is on board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929). He is looking aft and to starboard from the rear of the boat deck showing passengers on the aft promenade deck with the mainmast rigging on the right. The deck is marked out for tennis and quoits. The ships are steaming on parallel courses. Negative number P84981 was taken on the same occasion.
