A slightly distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) under way at sea. The photographer is on board another Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship which is believed to be the Viceroy of India (1929). He is looking aft and to starboard from the starboard side abaft the bridge showing three of the ship's lifeboats in their davits. The ships are steaming on parallel courses. The horizon is not quite level.
