A slightly distant port bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) alongside the Molo Angioino at Naples, Italy. She has her starboard anchor deployed, brows are rigged to the promenade deck aft and she is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on her foremast. A single masted sailing vessel is alongside the mole in the foreground and a man is carrying some of its cargo ashore on a long, narrow plank. The Castel Nuovo is on the right and two passenger vessels are berthed stern-on to the Molo Beverello in the centre background. A Savoia-Marchetti S66 flying boat is on the water on the left. Negatives numbers P84971 and P84984 were taken on the same occasion.
