A distant starboard side view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathallan (1938) at anchor off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. She has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships and another rigged to her lower deck aft with one of her boats alongside it. Lifeboats 5 and 15 have been launched and she is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on her foremast. A steam passenger tender is alongside her midships accommodation ladder. The photographer is looking south-east across the harbour from the old town walls showing the bell tower of St. Dominic Church in the foreground and Fort St. Ivana (Fort St. John) on the right. Negatives numbers P84989, P84999 to P85001 and P85016 were taken on the same occasion.
