A distant starboard side view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathallan (1938) at anchor off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. She has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships and another rigged to her lower deck aft with one of her boats alongside it. Lifeboats 5 and 15 have been launched and she is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on her foremast. A steam passenger tender is alongside her midships accommodation ladder. The photographer is looking south-east across the harbour from the old town walls showing the bell tower of St. Dominic Church in the foreground and Fort St. Ivana (Fort St. John) on the right.
