A slightly distant port bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathallan (1938) alongside a wharf at Oslo, Norway.
A slightly port bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathallan (1938) alongside a wharf at Oslo, Norway. She is berthed port side to the wharf and has accommodation ladders rigged amidships and aft. The top of her foremast is hidden by a crane. A few motor cars are parked on the wharf by the ship. The photographer is looking along the wharf through the legs of a track mounted crane which is undergoing maintenance. Berthed just ahead of the Strathallan and almost hidden by the quay wall is a small motor vessel that is dressed overall and a group of men, two with bicycles, are standing by it. Negatives numbers P84990 and P84991 were taken on the same occasion.
